The Personal Trainer Course

This six hour course is designed to enhance the technical skills of the Boxercise Instructor and focus their existing knowledge of programme design and exercise prescription to the Boxercise market. The Personal Trainer Course format is as follows:

10:00am Arrival and Introduction
11:15am Punching Skills: Advanced Punching coaching and skills
12:00am Use of defensive moves in combinations
1:00pm Use of Blocks in Combinations
1:30pm Use of Counterpunches in Combinations
2:00pm Advanced Footwork/Movement and conservation of padholder's energy whilst working the participant harder
3:00pm Advanced Padwork, use of single pads, one pad one glove, meeting punches
3:30pm Advanced Coaching & Training Methods, reaction drills, shuttle pads, active recovery, interval pads
4:00pm Speed, Power Stamina and Skill Drills
4:20pm Theory Exam
5:00pm Depart

All in all, you will learn over 30 new pad techniques!

Those who successfully complete this paper with a 70% pass mark will gain the Boxercise Personal Trainer Award.
Those achieving an 80% pass mark will gain the Advanced Certificate, providing that they have achieved the following:

  • 80% Pass in the Boxercise Instructor Training Award
  • 80% Pass in the KickBoxercise Instructor Training Award
