My story to why I became a fitness instructor and learnt to deal with my anxiety and depression. I started attending Zumba back in January 2015, I was the girl who slipped in and out from the back on my own because I had recently moved to the area. I had no confidence in myself and was extremely unfit but I wanted to stick at it as I loved to dance, laugh and smile, the instructor Michelle was super friendly and welcoming as were the other ladies who attended some of which are loft time friends. Towards the end of the year I was in total love with zumba some would say addicted and was now attending 5 times a week and wanted more. I never thought for one moment I would be able to get on stage let alone teach but the confidence Zumba had given me was unreal. In 2016 I attended a clubbercise class which was a new graze just freshly out It was amazing I came out grinning from ear to ear saying this is it I need to teach this, I want this in my life and give to others the feeling I have right now. Within a month I had booked on to take the course, that day was scary but exciting, I meant some wonderful people and became on of the glow family. A month later I was launching the first ever clubbercise class in Rushden to 80 people, the nerves were unreal but so exciting a week after the launch I started a regular class 1 night a week. Since then I have launched New classes and performed in the street at our local Christmas light switch, performed at Party in the park and have participated in charity events plus hosted one for a local family to help with costs while there little boy had to have major heart surgery. I can safely say Zumba and Clubbercise has changed my life, January 2016 my whole outlook on life changed I started to eat healthier, I started doing Pro points on my phone and managed to loose 2 stone Lighter with muscles I only ever dreamed of and my fitness levels improves every week, the buzz I get from being on stage and in the room with my participants is truly unbelievable. Sadly half way through 2016 I had quite a server anxiety and depression attack I was at my lowest point I couldn't even drag myself out of bed only to attended zumba and teach my one clubbercise class in the evenings as the doctors and occupational health advised me the endorphins released during exercise is the same as in antidepressants. Zumba & Clubbercise helped to keep me level headed and for that 9 hours a week gave me a purpose and kept me thinking positive. I then wanted to do more and looked at adding extra evenings to my timetable I know teach 4 evenings a week and have my own fitness business and logo called Evolve2fitness which I am super proud of and have now partnered up with my Friend to be able to offer a wider range and more times. While I am on stage or attending classes the feeling I get is amazing I feel on top of the world with such a buzz and I have managed to come out the other side of my attack a stronger person without the use of any medication.
I am now licensed to teach Clubbercise, Family Clubbercise, Level 2 fitness instructor, Pilates diploma, Level 2 nutrition, Junglebody Konga, Tyga and Burn. The Jungle Body® method is functional beat-driven training fusing Dance, Boxing, Cardio and Sculpting. ... Takes 1.5-2.5kg dumbbells & fuses this with movements that are dance inspired which will shape, sculpt & improve your muscle tone. I am very excited to be now adding Boxercise to my timetable. I have also recently become a Coach and fitter bodies ladies gym Wellingborough.
I am all about making fitness fun, safe and a non judgmental please to be. We laugh a lot normally at me and my terrible singing or my complete mind blanks but I’m proud of everyone who walks through the door, classes are very relaxed.
Along my journey I have met some amazing people who have become good friends,
I love teaching MY Comunity classes and inspiring people, seeing them leave smiling and feeling de-stressed is a great feeling.
We all help and support each other and the ladies who we see every week are an inspiration and keep me going
